How to take care of Flower Carpet

Plant according to the instructions printed on each package, tall varieties at the back and small to the front. Anemones need soaking in water prior to planting. Plant in well drained soil, prepare the soil by working in some organic fertiliser pellets.

In very cold areas, apply a thick mulch cover in winter to protect from hard frost. In warm areas mulch helps cool the soil and retains moisture. Water well after planting and for the first month to get them going.

Soak the soil rather than watering over the plants to prevent fungal diseases. Apply a general border fertiliser during the growth season but not after planting, let them get settled and begin to grow.

Remove dead flower heads regularly to encourage growth. Divide plants every 3-4 years in early spring.
