Place your pots and baskets of hyacinths and muscari on your table either indoors or outdoors, providing it is not freezing outside. The outdoors placed pots will flower at least twice as long as pots placed in a warm room.
Flower Killers!
Before using narcissi in flower arrangements, soak the stems in water for 4 hours; as the stems contain a 'slime' which can cause other blooms to die. Alternatively dousing with water containing a 2 drops of bleach will have the same effect. (be careful with the bleach)
