This large flowering Japanese Iris is beardless. It's extremely showy when planted by the side of a pond or as a backdrop for other plants in a perennial garden. Royal Banner has outstanding large attractive blooms with purple and a bright yellow centre on stems almost 90cm tall. It likes to be planted in moisture retaining acidic soil in full sun or part shade.This iris blooms in july and is the last of the Irises to bloom.
