Day Lily?
Day Lilies ?? Yes, as each flower lasts only a single day. But do not worry, new flower buds will appear daily during the summer.
Soil Preparation
Bulbs do best in well drained soil. However if your soil is damp and heavy, daffodils will do better than tulips. In general prepare the soil such that the planting spot of your bulbs has been loosened up with a fork or spade up to 10-12". Sometimes it is advisable to have some peat mixed through the planting soil if the soil is dry and very sandy. Always give a good mulch as a cover on top of the planting spot to protect the bulbs against frost damage i cold areas and helps retain moisture in warmer climates.
