When planting your bulbs, ensure that the base of the bulb is in good contact with the soil underneath the bulb. Air pockets under the bulb are the most common cause of bulb failure. (bad rooting)

Hyacinth bulbs may irritate some people's skin. Instant Remedy is to wash with lots of warm water and NEVER scratch! It is totally harmless but it does happen. Best is to wear gloves when planting hyacinths.
